1. About these terms

These Terms and Conditions govern access to the Empress Rising website, course platform, parent resources, student resources, Empress Circle sessions, private mentoring where selected, and related communications, together called the Platform and Programme.

By creating an account, reserving or purchasing a place, accessing the Platform, or allowing a participating girl to access the Programme, the parent or legal guardian accepting these terms agrees to be bound by them. If you do not agree, please do not enrol, access, or use the Platform.

These terms operate with the Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Care Standard, Community Guidelines, and any specific checkout, referral, or booking terms shown at the time of purchase. If there is a conflict, the specific checkout or booking terms apply to the extent of that conflict.

2. Parent or legal guardian responsibility and eligibility

Empress Rising is designed for girls aged 11 to 14. Enrolment must be completed by a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over who has authority to make decisions for the participating girl.

The parent or legal guardian is responsible for ensuring enrolment information is accurate, keeping the parent account secure, and supervising the participating girl's use of the Programme in a way that is appropriate for their family. A student must not independently create an account or provide a surname, direct contact details, home address, school details, or other unnecessary personal information through the Platform.

3. What Empress Rising provides

Empress Rising is an education and practical mentoring programme. It may include short video lessons, practical tools, optional prompts, parent resources, moderated community features, and small-group Empress Circle sessions. Where selected and purchased, it may also include private mentoring sessions.

The Programme is psychology-informed and grounded in practical learning. It is not therapy, diagnosis, counselling, medical care, mental-health treatment, or crisis support. It does not guarantee a particular outcome, change, or result for any participant.

4. Programme access, weekly releases, and course end date

The standard Programme runs for eight weeks in the cohort and term selected at enrolment. The current Programme schedule, including cohort dates and Empress Circle dates, is published on the Platform and may be updated where reasonably necessary.

Course resources are released in stages. For the first week, the relevant materials are intended to become available at noon on the Sunday before the Programme begins. Later weekly materials are intended to become available at noon on the Sunday before the relevant week. Content may be updated, rescheduled, or temporarily unavailable for safety, legal, operational, or technical reasons.

Unless a different access period is clearly stated at checkout, access continues through the end of the enrolled Programme and then ends. Access may end earlier if payment remains unresolved, a serious safety or conduct concern arises, or these terms are materially breached.

5. Empress Circle and private mentoring

Empress Circle is a small-group programme experience. Current planned times are Thursday evenings, with the younger cohort scheduled from 7:00 pm to 7:45 pm and the older cohort scheduled from 8:00 pm to 8:45 pm, Australian local time, subject to the published term schedule. A participant may choose to listen with her camera off where the session technology permits.

Circle sessions are not a place to share another person's private information, exchange private contact details, bully or exclude others, record or screen-capture participants, or seek urgent support. Empress Rising may limit participation, pause a session, remove a participant, or contact a parent where reasonably necessary for safety, privacy, or respectful conduct.

If private mentoring is included in a purchased tier, the format, number, duration, and booking availability are those shown at checkout. Sessions should be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice unless Empress Rising agrees otherwise. Late cancellations and non-attendance may be treated as used sessions, subject to the Refund Policy and Australian Consumer Law.

6. Safeguarding, privacy, and urgent support

Empress Rising is designed to respect a girl's private inner world. Parents do not have access to a student's private journal, reflections, mood check-ins, questions, messages, or private tools unless the student deliberately shares material through a feature intended for that purpose. Personal information is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

If Empress Rising becomes aware of a credible safety concern, it may take reasonable steps consistent with its safeguarding responsibilities. This may include pausing access to a feature, escalating to the parent or legal guardian, encouraging contact with a trusted adult or appropriate professional service, or responding to a legal obligation.

For immediate danger, a participating girl should tell a trusted adult straight away and contact local emergency support. In Australia, call 000 in an emergency. Ask Allison and all Platform messaging channels are for non-urgent programme support only.

7. Community conduct and confidentiality

All parents, students, and other users must treat people with kindness, respect, and care. You must not:

  • bully, threaten, harass, shame, discriminate against, or intimidate another person;
  • share phone numbers, addresses, school details, social-media handles, photographs, recordings, or identifiable information about another participant without clear permission;
  • share harmful, sexual, violent, illegal, or otherwise inappropriate material;
  • impersonate another person, share an account, bypass access controls, scrape the Platform, or interfere with its security;
  • record, screen-capture, download, reproduce, resell, or distribute Circle sessions, mentoring sessions, Platform materials, or another participant's contribution without prior written permission;
  • use the Programme as a substitute for urgent professional, medical, psychological, or crisis help.

Community features are moderated. Empress Rising may remove content, restrict a feature, suspend access, or terminate an account where reasonably necessary to protect a person, uphold these terms, investigate a concern, or comply with law.

8. Accounts, communications, and electronic notices

Parents must keep account credentials confidential and promptly notify Empress Rising if they believe an account has been accessed without permission. You must provide current contact details so Empress Rising can communicate about enrolment, payments, access, safety, and Programme administration.

Operational notices may be sent electronically, including by email and through the Platform. Marketing communications are managed in accordance with applicable law and the preferences provided by the recipient.

9. Fees, payments, cancellations, and refunds

Programme prices are displayed in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable. The two age pathways have the same Programme tiers and payment-plan amounts, although their age-aware learning content differs. The price, chosen tier, payment method, and instalment schedule shown at checkout form part of the enrolment agreement.

If a payment plan is offered, payments are due in the instalments specified at checkout. If a payment fails, Empress Rising may make reasonable attempts to contact the parent or legal guardian and may pause access until the issue is resolved. Payment-card details are processed by the payment provider and are not stored on Empress Rising's own systems.

Cancellation and refund rights are set out in the Refund Policy, including the current refund timeframes, mentoring-session notice requirements, and exceptional-circumstances process. Nothing in these terms limits any right that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

10. Share the Rise referral programme

Share the Rise is parent-managed. Girls are not asked to enter a friend's details, contact peers, or manage rewards. A referring parent may be eligible for a manually released $25 reward after a referred family independently completes a verified paid enrolment using the applicable referral process.

Eligibility is subject to verification, fraud prevention, programme capacity, and the campaign rules shown at the time. For the current Term 1 campaign, a referring family may receive a maximum of two rewards. Rewards are not transferable and are not payable as cash unless Empress Rising expressly states otherwise. Empress Rising may refuse or reverse a reward where eligibility requirements have not been met, the referral is not genuine, or the enrolment is cancelled or refunded.

11. Intellectual property and permitted use

The Programme, including videos, tools, worksheets, graphics, text, designs, trade marks, course structure, and other material, is owned by or licensed to Empress Rising and protected by intellectual-property laws.

Enrolment gives the participating family a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-commercial right to access the purchased Programme during the relevant access period. You must not copy, adapt, reproduce, publish, sell, share, upload, distribute, or create derivative materials from Programme content without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

12. Third-party services and links

The Platform may use third-party providers for payments, video delivery, live sessions, storage, analytics, and communications. Third-party services and websites are subject to their own terms and privacy practices. Empress Rising is not responsible for third-party content or services outside its reasonable control, but will take reasonable steps to select and configure services consistently with its obligations and published Privacy Policy.

13. Availability, changes, and technical issues

Empress Rising will take reasonable care in operating the Platform, but cannot promise that every feature, live session, video, or resource will always be available or error-free. The Platform may be updated, repaired, changed, limited, or temporarily unavailable for maintenance, security, safety, legal compliance, provider changes, or operational reasons.

If a material technical problem prevents reasonable Programme access and cannot be resolved, Empress Rising will consider an appropriate remedy in accordance with the Refund Policy and any rights available under Australian Consumer Law.

14. Liability and consumer rights

To the extent permitted by law, Empress Rising is not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or exemplary loss arising from use of the Platform or Programme. This includes loss resulting from reliance on general educational materials, a user's misuse of the Platform, another participant's conduct, or a third-party service outside Empress Rising's reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Where the law permits a limit, Empress Rising's liability will be limited to supplying the relevant services again, paying the cost of having them supplied again, or another remedy required by law.

15. Suspension and termination

Empress Rising may suspend or end access where reasonably necessary for safety, non-payment, fraud prevention, serious or repeated conduct concerns, intellectual-property infringement, or a material breach of these terms. Where appropriate, Empress Rising will explain the reason to the parent or legal guardian and provide a reasonable opportunity to respond.

A parent or legal guardian may withdraw a participating girl by contacting Empress Rising. Any refund, access, or payment consequences are governed by the Refund Policy, the checkout terms, and applicable law.

16. Changes to these terms

Empress Rising may update these terms to reflect changes to the Programme, Platform, law, safety practice, or operations. The updated terms will show a new effective date. For material changes that adversely affect an existing enrolment, Empress Rising will provide reasonable notice by email or through the Platform unless an immediate change is needed for safety, security, legal compliance, or to prevent harm.

17. Complaints and contact

Questions, complaints, access concerns, safeguarding concerns, and notices about these terms can be sent to hello@empressrising.com.au or posted to PO Box 2368, Hawthorn VIC 3122, Australia. Empress Rising will aim to acknowledge complaints promptly and respond within a reasonable period.

18. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and courts entitled to hear appeals from them, subject to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

19. General legal provisions

If any part of these terms is unlawful or unenforceable, that part is to be read down or removed only to the extent necessary. The rest of the terms continues in effect.

Empress Rising may transfer or subcontract aspects of the Platform or Programme to carefully selected providers where reasonably necessary to deliver the service, comply with law, protect safety, or improve operations. This does not remove Empress Rising's responsibility to comply with applicable law or its published privacy commitments.

You may not transfer an enrolment, account, mentoring entitlement, referral reward, or other Programme benefit to another person without written permission. A delay or failure by Empress Rising to enforce a right does not waive that right.

These terms, the Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Care Standard, checkout information, and any applicable written booking or promotion terms make up the agreement between you and Empress Rising about the relevant Platform or Programme access.
